Elektrolux is proud to present the eagerly awaited double cd compilation according to the well-known and incredibly popular 'Flowmotion' tv series. 'Flowmotion' started in the summer of 2000 and is nightly broadcasted via public german tv station HR (and Astra satellite for its widespread international viewers). The format soon developed a very own identity due to Elektrolux' entire artistic control, as the label is fully responsible regarding the format's audio-visual content providing own video material and music. Picking up where 'Space Night' has gone this forward-thinking project takes things even further. The visual side of the show embodies artist videos and experimental film/video material courtesy of Elektrolux affiliated artists as well as external sources. Musically 'Flowmotion' incorporates a wide range of styles, including all kinds of contemporary electronica, downbeat/ambient and listening stuff. One of its main achievements is to create an open platform for many different producers, projects and video artists. It canalizes the creative input that usually isnÍt covered by mainstream tv and night by night attracts a massive and evergrowing fanbase. Considering the fact that 'Flowmotion' has started only a short time ago, the success of this groundbreaking format is impressing. A visionary breakthrough that has already set new standards in tv entertainment. The double cd 'Flowmotion Vol.1 - Visual Pleasure' features tracks by some of Elektrolux' highly requested artists such as Aural Float, Rauschfaktor, JFC, Soehngenetic, Sushi Club, Fresh Moods, ŮNN and Index ID. A compilation that offers anything from deep downtempo excursions and mesmerizing soundscapes to dub deconstructions and orchestral electronica. The outstanding tracklisting is completed by a handful of listening milestones by PFL feat. Tikiman and Karma as well as the much sought after Mogwai Remix of Pluramon. A genre-defying selection of music and definitely one of this year's most compelling electronic listening outings (also available is the DVD of the same title).
