By the Subsonic Park project, Elektrolux walks on entirely new paths. 'Second Skin', the first release from the forthcoming album 'Inner City Codes', is not only a bridging between past, present and future of elctronic music. It also represents a synergy between the repetitive sound patterns of urban club culture, the deepness of dub, modern technology, architecture and design never heard before. Thus, 'Second Skin' starts with deep ambient dub house, syncopic chords and gently demanding percussive beats. A sensual form of dub allowing memories of the Basic Channel series but, nevertheless, is entirely anchored in 2008 as far as sound is concerned. The B-side, 'After Dark', completely does without bass drums but brings about an almost vibrating motoring activity anyway. Finally who said that club music does not work without the omnipresent bass kick as well?
